Robin Uchida and Juice

Robin was initiated into design at Typsettra Ltd. under the tutelage of its owner Les Usherwood. After leaving Typettra he co-developed, created or partnered in six different design and communications-related companies. He is a partner in a new design consulting company in Toronto called Torch Partnership. Robin is a respected designer, art director, brand and strategic developer, business strategist, and coach and he is currently innovating to impact on the effectiveness of design in today’s business context.

JUICE is an emergent design. It is a product of the developers, the teachers, the guests and the students who participated in its evolution and continue to support the initiative. It is a small effort to defragment the community of educators, institutions and guests from the business sector by facilitating dialogue between all of these generous individuals. It is a reality check for those who are lost, a learning opportunity for those who seek fresh perspectives and most importantly an opportunity for a personal reassessment of design’s role in the world.
